We are very delighted to announce that our Cluster of Excellence on Integrative Computational Design and Construction for Architecture (IntCDC) is now an official partner of the New European Bauhaus.

The New European Bauhaus Initiative was launched in September 2020 by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Based on co-design, the initiative is conceived as a platform for experimentation and connection. The goal is to bring together the worlds of science and technology and of art and culture. With its fresh approach in finding innovative solutions to complex societal problems through co-creation, the initiative acts as an invitation to change perspective in seeing the green and digital challenges as opportunities to transform for the better.

In order to achieve this goal, partners with values and objectives similar to those of the New European Bauhaus Initiative are selected as promoters and key interlocutors under the three core values of sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics. In support of the initiative, the partners provide a substantial outreach capacity on their respective level. They collaborate with experts to develop and identify sustainable, inclusive and aesthetic ideas, concepts and projects that can be openly shared.

Our Cluster of Excellence IntCDC is looking forward to advancing the synergies between its concept of co-design and the core pillars of aesthetics, inclusion and sustainability of the New European Bauhaus Initiative. We feel honoured to contribute to this important partnership.
