IntCDC researcher Diellza Elshani (ICD), was part of the winning team in the LDAC/CBIM hackathon on 10 June 2022 held in Cercedilla, Spain.
This hackathon was an integral part of the SSoLDAC – 2nd Summer School of Linked Data in Architecture and Construction.
She worked together with Dimitris Mavrokapnidis (UCL), Adam Tamas Kovac (Budapest University of Technology and Economics) and Detlev van Loenhout (PALLAS). Their team faced the challenge of poor data quality in BIM models, leveraging linked data technologies. During the hackathon, they developed a toolchain that allows BIM modellers to check, enrich and validate their models to comply with multi-disciplinary design requirements using semantic web technologies. Each member of the winning group was awarded a prize sponsored by Ontotext.
