The Institute for Computational Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart invites applications for an open position as
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER – Research Associate (m/f/d) E13/14 TVL
- to conduct postdoctoral research in the EU EIC Project “ArchiBioFoam” with a special focus on computational design and robotic additive fabrication processes to materialise architectural-scale components with tailored performance and autonomously actuating parts.
- to lead the ICD “ArchiBioFoam” project team of 2 PhD researchers and ensure successful research progress and interdisciplinary collaboration with the international project partners.
- to advance the ICD “Material Programming” research group by engaging in additional project initiatives and the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC.
Candidates are required to have a strong architectural, technical or computer science doctoral degree and experience of research in the field of computational design and additive manufacturing. Experience in 4D-printing/material programming is an advantage. A high level of independence, commitment, team spirit and interest in interdisciplinary research is also expected. Excellent English language skills are required.
